3 Fold Card Case
Each card case is individually and lovingly crafted from luxurious leather.
Completely handmade in Britain.
From the first selection of the leather to the last loving polish, every detail and step reflects my 30 plus years of experience of working with leather.
Every case is hand cut and each piece creased, stained and given a thin coat of leather dressing to protect and nourish it as the case is worked on.
The parts are sewn together using 3/25 linen thread rubbed through beeswax.
For card cases I use "Saddle Stitch" at 7 stitches per inch, this is the strongest form of stitching, in which each and every stitch is tied off.
Finally the edges are trimmed, edged, waxed and the case is polished.
A process so far removed from today's mass production that makes your case individual and exclusive.
Every article I make can be embossed with the "Blaikie" makers mark.
